Jim Tarsi Jr., MSPT, Dip MDT, OCS
Jim was exposed to the McKenzie Method early on in his training at Thomas Jefferson University.  Throughout his career Jim has trained in and observed various other philosophies of treatment and has found the McKenzie Method also know as Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) to be the most effective.  In 2011 Jim became a Diplomate in MDT, which represents the highest level of training within the McKenzie Institute and includes competency in manual therapy and joint manipulation.  Upon completion Jim became one of only 400 healthcare practitioners worldwide to have achieved this level of training for the treatment of musculoskeletal spine and extremity problems.

Guiding treatment philosophies
  • Each patient is unique and listening to the patient will reveal the truth about his or her injury or musculoskeletal problem.
  • It is essential to fully understand how a patient’s symptoms respond to movements and postures for successful outcomes.
  • Treatment is based on sound scientific principles utilizing current best evidence.
  • Patient education and empowerment to self treat and prevent future problems is the key to lasting relief.
